In Oak Class, we enjoy a wide range of exciting and meaningful activities. These include walks in the park, visits to Sainsbury’s, swimming, maths games, sensory stories, PE, and time in our trampoline yard. We especially love music and enjoy listening to songs together. Getting out into the community and visiting different places of interest is something we really look forward to.

 

Outdoor learning is very important to us. We also enjoy raising money for our class by selling items we have baked. We love researching what we can bake, planning our recipes, and buying ingredients from Sainsbury’s. Our learning is made fun and engaging through a range of wonderful and exciting topics.

 

In class we are focusing heavily on independence in and when in the local area. We have classroom jobs that are swapped every half term and are actively encouraging the children to do things not only for themselves, but their friends in the classroom. If this could be encouraged at home too, this would be fantastic. Examples of this could be making their own toast/sandwiches, helping with washing or drying up, tidying up their own belongings and dressing as independently as possible. We are looking forward to going on trips and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. 

 

We earn pennies for our hard work, kindness, perseverance, effort and progress. These are collected in our class jars and spent in our very own Friday afternoon tuck shop. We all love counting our pennies and choosing our treats!
